Exciting Suggestions?

I recently realized I want more excitement* in my life. I mentioned this to KenDarling. He said "How about going to a poetry reading? Or you could randomly select a book from the library?"

Whoooo-hooo!! Oh, yes. He did too suggest that perhaps reading a random book would shake things up and make my life more exciting. Obviously I need outside help. Any ideas? Suggestions?

* Excitement: the feeling of lively and cheerful joy; exhileration. Nothing dangerous or beyond my usual moral code of ethics, please.

You're asking... me? Well, let's see, you could schedule a caring confrontation/ substance abuse intervention with your daughter, and then you could go on your trip to the Netherlands and Paris right after, while figuring out how to tell a community that one of your staff members is going to be undergoing a gender change. And, oh, putting together a casino party for 60 plus fourteen year olds. All that between now and Christmas... not a problem, right? That might make your life a little more exciting, right? Be careful what you wish for, dahling, as my great aunt (yes, the one with her couch on the cinderblocks) used to say.

oh yes, I remember your aunt with her couch on cinderblocks. That was very exciting! I'm going to do that right away. I knew you'd have excellent ideas!

What about a fun filled trip to Canada with some close friends?

Hmmm.... The only exciting things that I can think of you probably shouldn't be doing while married with children, etc.
So, how about a Yoga class! I know you would be a natural. You bieng so flexible, a natural at meditation and all. Just an idea, I think you would dig it.

Hmmm... lots of trip suggestions, which is what I was thinking too... and yoga? Really? Yoga is exciting? Okay then. (hear that M? let's go yoga-ing!)

Wow. I would consider yoga less exciting than randomly picking a book from the library. About at the level of enrolling in a flower arranging class. I guess that's just to show you...

Exciting is signing up for a rock climbing trip. Planning a sailing trip. OK, that's extreme I know. I'll think of something a little more scaled down but up from yoga. Hang in there...

(ooops, I just saw the spelling typo in my earlier post.)

Uh-huh, see.... Scott agrees with me.

Oh, and to the previous anonymous poster. Ashtanga Yoga is definately exciting as well as invigorating. (I agree Yoga in general not so much.)
I know she will be a fish to water with most any style of Yoga. I just saw an open window to suggest it.
